HEADLINER: Compton Smith

Compton is not just a city in California. He’s a comedian, in a kilt, and yes it comes up from time to time. Compton wasn’t always a comic and the road to get here was long. After growing up with a love for comedy and talking his way through multiple corporations it was inevitable that he would take the stage himself at some point. Having been a casino executive, an academic, and an audio engineer he came to the stage with a wealth of life experience to share. Those experiences have cultivated a comedy style that is as much stories as it is one liners and is as unique as the kilted nomad of comedy himself.

In his short five year comedy career Compton has performed with some incredible talent, including; Robert “Bobby” Kelly, Shane Gillis, Chris Kattan, Louis Katz, Sean Finnerty, Cliff Cash, Ryan Niemiller, Derek Stroup, Scott Eason, Michael Statham and a slew of others.

Compton is also a comedy producer currently running High Humidity Humor with award winning comic Michael Statham. HHH runs shows in six cities and has the only multi-city comedy run on the gulf coast. He has played a founding role in Stingers Comedy, Azalea City Comedy, The Indy Arts Comedy Fest, and The Mobile Comedy Festival.
